CAPITAL REGIONAL DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS

CENTENNIAL SQUARE | VICTORIA BC | 2007

Located on Victoria’s Centennial Square this 10 400 sq.m. project is a combination of the redevelopment of the old Victoria Police Station as well as the erection of a new facility on the adjacent cleared site. The façade of the heritage portion has been seismically strengthened and restored and a new 3200 sq.m. addition has replaced the demolished portions. The redevelopment creates a new pedestrian walkway and view corridor linking the square with Victoria’s historic Chinatown district. The building has been designed using principals of environmental sustainability and is LEED Gold Certified. Exterior finish materials include high performance glass, sandblasted concrete and limestone facing.
