The Robbins Residence is situated on a steep, rocky and narrow lot in the Rockland neighbourhood of Victoria. The residence responds to its site by maintaining a narrow frontage, but opens up at the back to allow for a more spacious living and dining area. The spare material palette combines light stained cedar siding, concrete and glass to create a modern, clean aesthetic. To take advantage of views out to the Straight of Juan de Fuca the open-concept living room, dining room & kitchen are situated on the upper floor, with the bedrooms located at entry level. The roof top terrace has sweeping views of treetops, the ocean, and mountains beyond.
