This modest building houses a peak flow wastewater pump station facility that extends four storeys below grade. Materials of exposed concrete, concrete block and clear anodized alumunum windows were chosen to balance the need for an attractive structure located near the Bowker Creek waterway with the long-term durability requirements of an industrial building and the seismic capacity of essential infrastructure. This building is a recipient of the CEBC Award of Merit for innovation and excellence.
