Blanshard Community Centre

This 344 square foot multi-use community centre includes counseling and administrative functions as well as meeting rooms, teen center, seniors activity centre, community kitchen and store and a daycare center.

The distinctive form and colours have become a local landmark, creating a strong focal point and identity for the neighbourhood. Its long low eaves, held up by turned wood columns along the main street, shelters a front porch that was intended as, and has become, a gathering place for local residents.
